

The Indy TenPoint Coalition is making a genuine difference in the lives of young people, families and neighborhoods with a “boots-on-the-ground” approach to reducing violence, increasing employment and enhancing educational achievement.

TenPoint makes significant impact in 3 neighborhoods

The Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition recently celebrated significant reduction of homicides in three Indianapolis Neighborhoods. Indianapolis TenPoint celebrated 2 years without a homicide in the Highland Vicinity Area. Meanwhile two neighborhoods, Butler-Tarkington and Crown Hill went 1,000 days without a Youth Homicide - Ages 14-25.

"A faith-based initiative in Indianapolis called Indy Ten Point has had some remarkable success in reducing violent crime and drug use in targeted areas of the city. Now some faith leaders in Columbus hope to use the Ten Point program as a model for a similar effort here."

AN UPDATE ON ACTIVE TENPOINT NEIGHBORHOODS
- Butler Tarkington has gone 2 and half years without a criminal homicide. It has gone 896 days without a Youth Homicide.
- Crown Hill has gone 1 Year without criminal homicide. It also has gone 872 days without a Youth Homicide.
- The Highland Vicinity has gone a year and a half without a homicide. It has also gone 602 days without a Youth Homicide.


Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition sponsors a faith patrol four times a week in selected neighborhoods.

EVENTS AND UPDATES
TenPoint recently visited Cleveland, Ohio to discuss its model of Urban Youth Gun Violence reduction in April 5th and 6th. Ohio as a state is considering a statewide approach similar to what Indiana has done through its State Attorney's General Curtis Hill.
Indy TenPoint will also travel to Baltimore in early May to also have discussions about Urban Gun Violence reduction in their city as well!
